I have always enjoyed going to the Grove LA. It’s definitely a fun pastime for us Cali girls. To do a little shopping and get some good bites to eat. What’s so nice about the Grove? There is always something going on. From celebrity sightings, pop-up-stores or concerts – like the recent one from Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled, you will be entertained.
So, it was time for me to go check out the Grove again and I was not disappointed. I’ve been trying to get to Ladureé, which is at the Grove, for quite awhile. Today was the day.
The traffic wasn’t that bad when I left home around 1:00 pm. This is something to always consider, especially if you are taking the 101 Freeway. In the evening, traffic begins to build up and it can take you quite a while to get to Hollywood.
Once I parked, all I could think about was the sweet desserts I was about to enjoy at Ladureé, but I wanted to see what was new at the Grove first. Immediately this big yellow box caught my eye. It looked like one of those Minion characters, so I went to check it out and found out it was a Snapchat machine. The guy working this exhibit explained:
“You can buy snapchat spectacles online or one of the 11 snapchat boxes in the country, 1 at the Grove and 3 in LA. (Woot Woot!!) It captures 30 seconds of HD video, which is sent to your snapchat camera roll. It then can be saved to your phone’s camera roll. Finally, it can be shared on any social media that you like. It also comes in 3 colors: black, coral, and teal. The Price $129.99. A little expensive, but heck it’s no worse than an iPhone, right?
After that and taking quite a few photos, I finally got to Ladureé. My-oh-my this place is amazing. I was ready to jump on the next flight to Paris as soon as I entered this beautiful establishment.
The employees were super nice and the abundant choice of pastries were quite overwhelming. Truly, I had a hard time choosing, so I went with Ispahan Macaron dessert. Why? Heck, I’ll be honest, I thought it was veryyyyy Instagram worthy. However, it was much more than that. It was so delicious.
Plus, they put a fresh Rose on top and I mean fresh. As soon as you get close to it your nose is filled with the beautiful aroma of a fresh Rose Petal. Amazing!!! Guys take notes. Get your girl this dessert and you are in like Flynn. Two gifts in one – dessert and flowers. Haha.
All in all, I really enjoyed my time at the Grove like always. I suggest when you want to do a little retail shopping and enjoy the sights and sounds of the locals come to the Grove. You won’t be disappointed.
